The services of the Contact Point for Cross-Border Healthcare changed at the beginning of 2017. The telephone service on 020 634 0400 ended on 31 December 2016. The telephone service was ended because questions dealing with the area of responsibility of the Contact Point had been few.

What is the Contact Point for Cross-Border Healthcare?
The function of the Contact Point for Cross-Border Healthcare is to provide general information about using health services in Finland and the EU area, the reimbursement of costs and European prescriptions. Each EU country has a national contact point. In Finland it is within Kela.
We are responsible for the Choosehealthcare.fi website, which provides information on seeking treatment abroad or for foreigners to seek treatment in Finland, and on the freedom of choice in healthcare in Finland.
