Costs of treatment provided with the European Health Insurance Card

The holder of a European Health Insurance Card is entitled to receive medically necessary care for the same customer fee as the residents of the municipality. In specific cases, the right to treatment can also be demonstrated using another type of certificate of entitlement to treatment.

If you have presented an appropriate certificate of entitlement to treatment to the treatment provider and you have been erroneously charged more than the customer fee for the residents of the municipality, contact the treatment provider in order to adjust the customer fee.

You can submit an appeal on the customer fee in the manner stated above.
